What flood zone is Miami Beach in, and what does it require?

+1 ft min freeboard (up to +5 ft)above BFE; homes also at least 9.0 ft NGVD

Miami Beach sets a minimum freeboard of 1 foot and lets owners build up to 5 feet above base flood elevation without the extra height counting against zoning. In A zones a home's lowest floor and equipment must also clear 9.0 ft NGVD (7.44 ft NAVD) and the crown of road or sidewalk plus 1 foot, whichever is highest. Improvements are added up over one year.
