Who we are

Wall Dock Deck is a resource for the South Florida waterfront community, from the Keys to Palm Beach. Our job is to get the right information to the right people. The rules that decide what you can build, repair or buy on the water are buried in city and county code, so we find them, check them against the source and put them in plain words, alongside free tools for owners, buyers, agents and boards. And if something looks wrong, we can get an inspection for you.

What we do

We publish the rulesThe seawall, dock and waterfront deck requirements for the cities we cover, each with its code section and the date we checked it. Most of this exists only as legal text in a municipal PDF. We publish the number.

We score your shorelineThe Shore Score is a free screening based on public data and the answers you give us. It tells you what your answers point to and what to ask next. It is not an engineering inspection and we never call it one.

We get you an inspectionIf something looks wrong, book an inspection. We set up a free site visit with a licensed marine contractor who covers your area.

We help you read the quotesTwo seawall quotes rarely cover the same work. Send us yours and we will tell you what each one leaves out.

Who writes this

Wall Dock DeckResearches and verifies the rules published here. Every figure is read out of the primary code, recorded with its section and the month it was checked, and nothing publishes without both. The method is set out in full on our verification page.

Where we coverMonroe, Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties — the Florida Keys to Palm Beach. We publish a city only once we have verified its rules, which is why the list grows rather than starting complete.

Shore Scores are screenings based on public data and owner answers, not engineering inspections or certifications.

Are your quotes comparable?
