The terms for licensed contractors who receive referrals from us — qualification, fees, conduct and removal.
Last updated 2026-10-02 · Version 2026-10-02
These terms govern licensed contractors who receive referrals from Wall Dock Deck. They are published rather than kept private, because a property owner is entitled to see what we require of the people we send to their house.
We introduce a property owner to you and give you their name, contact details, property address and enquiry. That is the whole of what we provide.
We are not a party to anything that follows. Your contract with the owner is yours. We do not set your price, define your scope, supervise your work, hold funds, or guarantee that an enquiry becomes a job.
You are an independent business. Not our employee, agent, partner, representative or joint venturer. You may not hold yourself out as any of those, use our name to imply we endorse your work, or sign anything on our behalf.
You must tell us within 5 business days if any of these lapses, is suspended, or is the subject of a complaint or disciplinary proceeding.
We verify at onboarding and periodically after. That is a check, not a guarantee, and we say so plainly to property owners — your licensing and insurance are your responsibility, not ours.
The Contractor Data Agreement governs the data side and forms part of these terms.
Owners pay us nothing. You do.
Fees, their amount and when they fall due, are set in your signed participation agreement, not here. Where these published terms and your signed agreement conflict, the signed agreement controls.
General terms that apply unless your agreement says otherwise:
We do not charge an owner for the introduction and we never will. If you ever hear of someone claiming an owner must pay us, tell us immediately.
We may remove you, immediately and without notice, for: a lapsed or suspended licence, lapsed insurance, misuse of a referred owner's details, misrepresenting your licensing, implying government authority, or conduct that puts an owner at risk.
For everything else — slow response, complaint volume, late fees, a pattern of unresolved disputes — we will tell you what the problem is and give you 15 days to fix it before removing you.
You may leave at any time. Fees already incurred remain payable, and your obligations on owner data survive.
If an owner raises a dispute with you, deal with it directly and in good faith.
Tell us about it. We cannot resolve it, and we are not a party to it, but we need to know — it affects whether you stay in the network, and an owner who was treated badly after we made the introduction is our problem too.
You will defend and indemnify us against third-party claims arising from: your work; your licensing, insurance or bonding status; your communications with referred owners; your handling of their data; and your breach of these terms.
We will give you prompt notice, let you control the defence with counsel we reasonably approve, and cooperate. You will not settle anything imposing an obligation on us without our written consent.
Neither party is liable to the other for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or lost profits.
We do not guarantee any volume of referrals, any conversion rate, or any revenue. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before it arose.
This cap does not apply to your indemnity under section 8, your breach of the Contractor Data Agreement, or either party's fraud or wilful misconduct.
Florida law. Exclusive venue in the state or federal courts in Miami-Dade County, Florida. Jury-trial waiver and class-action waiver as in section 21 of the Terms of Service.
We may update these terms on 30 days' notice. Sections 3, 8, 9 and the Contractor Data Agreement survive termination.
