Dania Beach requires every lot owner, occupied or not, to securely tie down loose lumber, trash and other materials once a hurricane advisory is issued for the Broward County area. Commercial construction sites must take down wind screening on a hurricane warning and put it back within ten days. A cited tidal flood barrier must show progress in 60 days and be repaired within 365.
