Manalapan makes coastal structures the perpetual maintenance responsibility of their owners, with seawalls and bulkheads kept impervious to sand and free of cracks or holes, enforced through the Code Enforcement Board or Special Master. During a tropical storm or hurricane watch or warning for any part of Palm Beach County, construction materials must be secured, and in season roofing materials loaded on a roof must be tied down immediately.
